Q: What can I use the new options to benefit my business?
A: 1) Requirements: Many restaurants like to offer options. Let’s say I own a pizza shop and want to offer a pizza that comes with 3 toppings and a soda. I can now allow app users select 3, and only 3, toppings, as well as only 1 soda preference. This is great for sandwiches, pasta, pizzas, salads, etc.
2) Allow Quantity: In addition to having multiple options, now app users can choose if they want to double or triple or something. Let’s say I am ordering a 3 topping pizza, but instead of 3 toppings, I want sausage and double olives. Now I can double my olives by selecting 2 quantities.
Q: How do I set this up?
A: Navigate to Options as outlined above. Name your first option type, then choose the number of required items. Now you can add your options! You’ll want to make all of these items $0.
Add as many option types as necessary. You can add them for toppings, sauces, sandwich fillings, sides, drinks, etc. If you would like to add additional items that cost extra, make another option type with no required options and add the appropriate price for each item. Each item the user selects will cost extra.
To enable the Add Quantity feature, check the box and choose how the maximum number or portions available.
